CREATE Artful Media
I teach and learn by using Word art in Poetics and Acrostic. It has served me well and continues to grow my awareness and systematic daily thinking and activity. Word Art is the literal Framework designed to spur creative ideas at home through work and in the communities I serve. I achieve CREATE Daily in 6 areas that are key to be stewards of. Community, Recreation, Education, Arts, Travel, and Entrepreneurship. These main CREATE Subjects coincide from Monday to Saturday. This helps my CREATE Daily editorial schedule for both my radio shows and CREATE Daily column.
Left Hand Column SUCCESS
Daily tasks. Things to do today are 7. 1. Create stories and songs. 2. Find your Unique attributes in what you are great at and employ them into your work. 3. Collaboration- the CREATE Team, the trained brains you work with. 4. After or during lunch is a time to CREATE and Cultivate ideas. The Gate System: (I have a system to curate, eliminate and to delegate ideas to next generation entrepreneurs.) 5. Endeavor System: Ideas go into three categories, products, services, and endeavors. They also have sketch, prototype, learn, launch and land well.
6. Service - If I serve at home, through my work and in community and take the time to do so in my daily tasks, then it adds up incrementally. Not to add points but to be responsible and loving.
7. Stoke the Soul & Spirit - The disposition and distribution of our Natural and Nurtured Attributes are passed on through our good work and are ignited in ourselves and others. The Daily SUCCESS Acrostic corresponds with the Daily ORCHARDS Acrostic. And in the end the measurement is found in the Quality of our work.
On the Other Hand
To the vertical right hand the daily work of ORCHARDS is Organic. Jim Arthur, my news director at KVOR in Colorado Springs showed me how to gather news organically. Being a great interviewer, I was not shy about getting a recorded interview. Otherwise airshifts sound the same. To have something fresh, earthy and quintessential in journalism, advertising, music is welcoming to an oversaturated medium. I am a Master in Organic Creative Media! The essence of Creating in Recreating.
Recording- In our orchard all produce is recorded, remastered and reworked. Eyes, Ears, and Smell, Taste and Touch factors are considered in our Art.
Curated and Cultivated- Like in ideation raw and rough scenes, sound, and sensory stimulus are part of the creative and production process. This is a daily process as an artist, producer and performer.
Harvest Time
In every season there is a time to let go and send out to Market what the Orchard has yielded. It is bittersweet when resources like stories, songs, and human resources are launched. It is sweet when they are valued and shared. We are more grateful then proud.
Alignment and Attributes
I sometimes create in the barn or the studio and yet rarely in a vacuum. Poetics have boundaries and rules and we are more free to produce something greater than ourselves because of it! I have been a student of Igor Stravinsky since my Father sent me "Poetics of Music" which I read once or twice a year. In my orchard of work, I am a Student of Stravinsky, benchmarking the true definition of "Poetics" which simply means: CREATE Daily.
Renewable Resources
An orchard system is nothing without Renewable Resources. Perennial pieces of portraits, landscapes and moving sculptures that outcast the artist are better than legacy. As Wendell Berry writes that our economic and environmental return is more valuable to the land than a total return on a monetary investment.
Sustained Drive
Art and Media can use a sustained drive in these days of trite Trumpness and revisionist history. It will not come from government. It will come from artist entrepreneurs. Discipline and Diligence = Drive. Discipline is associated with punishment too often. But when it is associated with results, from tilling to fruitful orchards, Discipline is a beautiful thing. CREATE Daily creates that sweet discipline with systematic diligence. See you tomorrow.
