Studio 51: The Rye Arts Center is hosting a huge bash at the Capitol Theatre
The Rye Arts Center is once again hosting a huge annual benefit to raise money for The Rye Arts Center in Rye, NY. They're calling it, "Studio 51." One of the band's performing is Rubix Kube.
The party begins on Friday May 8 at 6:30 PM It's adults only with a full cocktail bar and lounge and celebrates the transformative power of the arts. I recently got some input from some of the staff members on the annual live event and insight on what happens there. Thanks to Lauren Emerson, Marketing and Digital Experience Coordinator at Rye Arts Center for providing us the information. The vibe for Studio 51 is reminiscent of Studio 54 dance party theme!

“Studio 51 is more than a celebration. It’s a powerful reminder of what the arts make possible,” said Adam Levi, Executive Director of The Rye Arts Center. “This year’s honorees embody the spirit of creativity, generosity, and community that sustains our work every day. Their leadership and artistry help ensure that the arts remain a vital force that sparks imagination, opens doors, and shapes lives in ways that ripple far beyond this moment.” - Adam Levi on Studio 51 and our 2026 Honorees."
Our Studio 51 Annual Benefit has been presented at The Capitol Theatre in Portchester, going on our 4th consecutive year since May of 2023. It was created by the Development Team and Board of Directors at The Rye Arts Center in celebration of creativity, inclusivity and self expression. The funds raised support The Rye Arts Center's world-class arts education programming and its dynamic scholarship program. More than 350 Scholarships are awarded every year to students in underserved communities. No student is ever turned away.
SR: Studio 54 is set to be this year’s theme. Is it the same theme every year?
This event is named after the iconic Studio 54 (morphed into Studio 51, which is the address of our current building, 51 Milton Rd.). Each year the band changes, ie - last year we had Robix Kube an 80's cover band... and this year we have Unforgettable Fire and are going for a "Glam Rock" feel.
SR: Is it strictly meant for a 21+ crowd?
YES - this party is for adults only!! There will be an open premium bar all night!
SR: How much money are you hoping to raise?
Last year we raised over $300K and this year we aim to do the same!
SR: Is it at the same location every year, the Capitol Theatre?
Yes! Since 2023
SR: Is there a dress code in place?
Yes, it's Glam Rock.
SR: What’s the minimum amount one can pay or does the money raised come from the tickets?
100% of the proceeds support The Rye Arts Center... The least expensive ticket is $325 which includes 4 hours of Open Premium Bar, Delicious "Dinner-by-the Bite" by Marcia Selden catering, and 2 hours of incredible live music.

SR: Was the event very successful when you host it every year?
Yes, this event has been consistently successful and we raise more money each year.
