Experience
My experience includes being a published author, entrepreneur, college student, recovery advocate, and motivational speaker. I have written and published books based on my personal experiences with childhood trauma, addiction, mental health, recovery, faith, and healing. Through my writing and public speaking, I encourage others to overcome their past and believe that change is possible. I am also the founder of Healing Looks Good On You, a growing apparel and affirmation brand focused on recovery, self-love, and personal growth. In addition, I am pursuing my college education with the goal of entering the nursing field. My life experiences have helped me develop strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, organization, empathy, and perseverance skills. As a mother and woman in long-term recovery, I bring compassion, determination, and a genuine desire to help others into everything I do.
Education
I am currently attending Big Sandy Community and Technical College, where I am completing the required coursework to pursue admission into the nursing program. I have maintained strong academic progress, earning a 4.0 term GPA and a 3.35 cumulative GPA. My education has included courses in anatomy and physiology, psychology, sociology, medical terminology, English, communications, mathematics, and computer applications. My long-term goal is to become a nurse and use my education, compassion, and personal experiences to care for and support others.
