The Art of Storyboarding

The panels at SWCBS kicked off Saturday when storyboard artist Trevor Goring, who has worked on blockbuster films like National Treasure and Independence Day, joined Ben Bates, known for his work in television animation on shows like Invincible and Avengers Assemble, and Kraig Rasmussen, who works primarily on independent films like Alone Together.

The trio come from varied backgrounds, but their interests converge in comics and in their shared belief that storyboarding is an indispensable art form. In their discussion, they not only contrasted their experiences in the industry but also explained how storyboards are the glue that elevates writing and informs directing.
