Central Faces Chesterfield, Looks to Remian Undefeated
Priority one for the Chesterfield Rams: slow down the Central Eagles running game, if they hope to hand the Eagles their first loss of the season. Central averages over 367 yards rushing a game, led by Marzavious Allen's 133.4. Allen also has 10 touchdowns rushing and receiving through the first five games. Central quarterback Dwayne Louallen averages 90.6 yards a game on the ground.
Louallen and the Eagles only average 100 yards passing a game, but last week the Senior signal caller finished 9-14-180-3-0.
The Rams offense averages 80 yards passing and 111.8 yards rushing. Emani Welch leads Chesterfield in rushing, averaging 53.6 yards a game. He leads the team in touchdowns as well with four.
Chesterfield must find a way to slow the pace and run the ball the way the Latta Vikings at times did last week. Latta jumped out to a 7-0 lead, but the Eagles scored the last 42 points.
Central looks to continue its dominant run so far this season. The Eagles margin of victory is 28 points through the first five games. Central looks to run its record to 6-0 when it travels to Chesterfield on October 2. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
