  • Ridgeland Town Council will consider applying for a Community Development Block Grant to help fund a study of the town’s water system.
  • The proposal also includes setting aside matching funds, with the request scheduled for discussion at the council’s September 17 meeting.

The Town of Ridgeland is preparing to seek grant funding for a study of its water system.

Town Council will consider a resolution on September 17 authorizing the Town Administrator to submit a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Water Study application.

The resolution would also authorize the town to appropriate the matching funds required for the project.

The request is part of the council’s regular September 17 meeting agenda.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Ridgeland Town Hall, One Town Square.

The council will also consider a request to move its October 1 meeting to 3 p.m. because the Gopher Hill Festival begins that evening, along with a resolution concerning surplus personal property.

For Ridgeland residents, the proposed water study could provide information the town can use when planning future improvements to its water system.
