Enrique Erlatz is now the president of The Uruguayan Chamber of Agricultural Services (CUSA) and plans to focus on maintaining benchmark prices for agricultural services. The CUSA formula takes into account the cost of fuel, wages, the dollar exchange rate, and machinery.

In an interview with local media, Erlatz commented on the metrics that CUSA uses, "They're (the results are) not just thrown together; they're calculated with criteria, according to an accountant and a formula.” He added that, "The premise is to keep the doors open to have a price reference.”

CUSA is celebrating its 18th anniversary this year, despite facing challenges. According to Erlatz, CUSA faces declining membership, which puts its core mission in jeopardy.

Erlatz has a background in private sector agriculture. He manages La Chacra de los Servicios, a company with more than two decades in business. The company plants a variety of agricultural goods, including wheat, rice and soybeans.
