Westminster Dog Show 2026 Preview
The 150th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show returns to New York City for a historic milestone celebration, taking place January 31 through February 3, 2026. This prestigious event will showcase over 3,000 dogs representing more than 200 breeds and varieties across multiple venues in Manhattan.
The sesquicentennial celebration kicks off Saturday, January 31, with the Masters Agility Championship, followed by the main competition on Monday and Tuesday, February 2-3. Daytime breed judging will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Center, while the evening group competitions and Best in Show finals will return to their traditional home at Madison Square Garden.

This year's event holds special significance as Westminster commemorates 150 years of canine excellence. The anniversary festivities will feature a special "Westminster Legends" presentation, bringing together past champions including Monty, the Giant Schnauzer who claimed top honors in 2025, and Siba, the Standard Poodle who won Best in Show in 2020.

Tickets are available separately for events at both the Javits Center and Madison Square Garden, allowing spectators to experience different aspects of the competition. The Westminster Kennel Club has released a preview video showcasing what attendees can expect at this landmark 150th anniversary show.
Whether you're a longtime dog show enthusiast or new to the sport, the 2026 Westminster Dog Show promises to deliver an unforgettable celebration of canine athleticism, breeding excellence, and the enduring bond between humans and their four-legged companions.
