Police said Ethan Ramsey of Meridian was identified as a suspect after investigators received reports alleging he abused and killed multiple cats. Officers and detectives reviewed video and physical evidence during the investigation. Ramsey was arrested in the 3700 block of Centrepoint Way, then booked into the Ada County Jail on three counts of animal cruelty, and is being held on a $200,000 bond. Police also said Ramsey was taken to a local hospital for evaluation before being cleared for arrest. The investigation is ongoing, and the Meridian Police Department said it “recognizes the concern” these cases cause and is committed to investigating allegations of animal cruelty and holding individuals accountable when criminal charges are warranted.
