Supper Club at Plover WI Review

Supper Clubs were a way for people to have entertainment back in the 1930s. People were able to bring their friends and families with them to spend time with them while having a drink and a meal. Nowadays people are able to take their time with their meal whereas back then it felt like they were in a rush to have their meal and then quickly leave.

In Wisconsin, Supper Clubs are a tradition, whether people go once a month or once a year. Wisconsin has around 200 Supper Clubs and it’s never a bad idea to go check out one of them.

I went to one myself last weekend with my parents. I have been there before a couple of times, it’s called the Sky Club at Plover, Wisconsin. Usually whenever we go it’s pretty busy there. Most of the tables are full and even the seats at the bar are as well.

But this time, it was a slow evening for them. I’m not quite sure as to why. The food there is always rich and fresh. The same can be said about the drinks they serve.

The Sky Club opened in 1935 and it had many owners in the past until in 1961, when John Freund owned it, and then it was passed down onto his family when he had unexpectedly passed away in 1965.

The business was very successful. There are still many people that go there to enjoy time with their families and friends or to just revisit a place down memory lane.

I highly recommend taking a trip to Sky Club and their desserts are a hit too.
