MERIDIAN, Idaho — The community achieved a historic milestone this year as all 10,000 dolphins were adopted for the Great Dolphin Dunk’s 25th anniversary. The event successfully raised a record-breaking $73,000 in cash and in-kind donations to support the vital programming of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County.
The highlight of the campaign featured the giant pod racing through the Endless River at Roaring Springs. This year’s top winners included:
* First Place: June Kenneda (Trip for two to Mexico)
* Second Place: Duane Frost (Four 2026/27 Roaring Springs season passes)
* Third Place: Carly Oppie ($500 cash from Bent Nail Inspections)
* Fourth Place: Tammy Biagi (One year of free pizza from Idaho Pizza Company)
Over the past six weeks, local donors fueled this effort by adopting dolphins for $5 each or bundles of six for $25. This year's success brings the total amount raised by the Great Dolphin Dunk to more than $1.2 million over the last quarter-century, proving the enduring commitment of the Treasure Valley to local youth.
