The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will begin construction of the Coeur d’Alene Idaho Temple with an invitation-only groundbreaking ceremony. Bradley S. Moss, president of the Post Falls Idaho Stake, said the temple will benefit individuals and families who currently travel long distances to worship. Hutch U. Fale, a General Authority Seventy, emphasized that locating temples closer to members is intended to help them attend and serve more frequently. The temple will measure just under 30,000 square feet and is expected to serve nearly 15,000 members in the North Idaho region. After construction, community members will be invited to tour the building during a public open house before its dedication.
