Interior Sindh: A Struggle for Basic Needs

In districts such as Kashmore-Kandhkot, Jacobabad, Shikarpur and Ghotki, many communities continue to struggle with basic needs including quality education, healthcare, clean drinking water, electricity, roads and employment.

The situation becomes more difficult when poverty and law-and-order problems are added to the picture. Tribal disputes and the presence of dacoit groups in some areas have created insecurity for ordinary people. When people are afraid to travel, send their children to school or move their goods safely, the impact goes beyond security—it also affects education and the local economy.

Young people face another major challenge: limited employment opportunities. Many educated youth have to look towards Karachi, Hyderabad and other cities for work.

Interior Sindh has enormous potential, but development should reach the communities that need it most.

People are not asking for luxury. They are asking for safe roads, functioning schools, healthcare, clean water, electricity, jobs and peace.

Real development should be measured by the quality of life of ordinary people—not only by projects and announcements.

Interior Sindh needs attention, investment and, above all, equal opportunities.
