I-84 westbound traffic blocked in Caldwell; crash under investigation

CALDWELL, Idaho — The Idaho Transportation Department said a multi-vehicle crash has resulted in all Westbound lanes of Interstate 84 being shut down between exit 29 and exit 27.

According to the Idaho Transportation Department, "life flight [is] en route." Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.

Traffic is currently "being diverted westbound from exit 29, onto 20/26," with westbound traffic resuming at exit 27.

Idaho State Police is on scene, and the closure is expected to be extended for a "collision investigation," according to Caldwell Police. Officials ask that drivers plan alternate routes at this time.

Code Red Towing confirmed that several operators are currently on scene.
