Man Carjacked After Being Stabbed 11 Times in Rideshare Robbery

In an act of temporary insanity, an unsuspecting Lyft driver was nearly killed Saturday in Greenville, South Carolina. The ride-share employee was left in critical condition after a black woman stabbed him 11 times.

The driver picked up Naziyha Lanay Weatherall on East North Street. According to witness accounts, Weatherall was dealing with a schizophrenic fit. Authorities recount the event, saying the woman stole the car and fled the scene of the incident leaving the victim to die.

According to the wife of the victim, he is still “shaken” by the event. Even though he suffered serious injury to the head, he is not dead. The 22-year-old assailant is in custody. Weatherall is charged with attempted murder.

Greenville County police also accuse Weatherall of carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect used a knife, and she has no previous criminal record.
