Woman killed in early Sunday shooting at West Bench vacation rental home in Boise

Boise Police and Boise Fire responded before 6 a.m. on Aug. 30, 2026, to a report of a shooting victim at a residence in the 3900 block of W. Clement Road. Officers arriving at the home found an adult female with a gunshot wound on the front porch.

There were a large number of occupants inside the home when officers arrived, but the suspect’s identity and location were unknown, according to authorities. Officers secured the area, evacuated the home, cleared each room, and contacted witnesses at the scene.

While Fire crews and Ada County paramedics performed lifesaving measures, the woman died at the scene from her injuries. No other injuries were reported.

It appeared a party was happening at the home when an unknown suspect drove by in a sedan-style vehicle and fired multiple shots at the residence, police said. Investigators have canvassed the surrounding area for additional witnesses, information, and video. The investigation is ongoing.
