Victims of Oregon quintuple homicide identified

FOREST GROVE, Ore. — Five people were found dead on a property outside Forest Grove, Oregon, over the weekend, and authorities said the suspected killer was the boyfriend of one of the victims.

One of the victims was 60-year-old Rowan Karla Kimsey, who owned the property and lived there. Her mother, 85-year-old Mary Elizabeth Kimsey, from Portland, was also a victim.

Two more victims, Linsey Mae Haraldsen, 26, and Alvin Raymond Chu, 27, a couple from Portland, were also found.

26-year-old Stella Jade Kimsey, who was best friends with Linsey and the granddaughter of Mary, was also a victim, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. She lived on the property with her boyfriend, Benjamin Parker, who is the suspected killer.

Two cats and two dogs were also found dead in the discovery of the mass killing, the sheriff's office said. Another cat was found injured and taken to a veterinarian for treatment but was later euthanized "due to the extent of its injuries." Livestock on the property was also rehomed, according to the sheriff's office.

Next of kin for all victims have been notified.

Parker, 36, who was found dead in the city of Enumclaw near Seattle later on Sunday, authorities said. Investigators have yet to comment on a potential motive for the mass killing.

According to Washington County Sheriff Caprice Massey, who said on Sunday. "I recognize that this incident is deeply concerning to our community. Our investigators are working to determine what happened, and we have dedicated every available resource to this case."

Deputies were called about 5:27 a.m. Saturday to assist the Forest Grove Fire & Rescue, which was responding to a vehicle fire outside of Forest Grove, west of Portland. Firefighters discovered human remains and called law enforcement. Investigators later determined that five people and multiple domesticated animals had died.
