Inside the Mind of Ditti: Welcome to the Show

Hello and welcome to Inside the Mind of Ditti...the "blog."

This is the written form of the podcast I have been hosting on and off for the last 15+ years, since my early days of radio training at Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Orlando, Florida.

So, since I'm new here and all, I figured it was a good time for a brief introduction of who I am and what you can expect out of my content.

First and foremost, I have primarily worked in the sports media for my entire career in this world. From sports talk radio in Orlando and Greenville, South Carolina to being featured on the MLB page of TheSportingNews.com, this podcast and blog have almost only been about sports.

And for good reason...

I'm mostly obsessed with sports, overall.

Growing up the son of a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan led me to my undying loyalty and affection for my teams, of course, but also for sports as a whole. My sports fandoms are not in any way narrowly focused either. The reason I loved doing sports talk radio so much was the ability to talk about most sports on a regular basis...but baseball was and still remains my first love.

That being said, this is no longer going to be a feed of sports and sports alone.

My logo says "Rants, Raves and Random Intellect."

The latter may be the rarest of the three, but I fully plan on sharing as much as I can and as often as I can to both reinvigorate my love for writing and producing audio content and to add new wrinkles to what I've done in the past. I will not only be adding more mediums to my repertoire, but I plan on expanding beyond the wheelhouse topics and adding some new ways to share my thoughts on other things.

Movies, for one, have been one of my only obsessions in life that holds a candle to sports.

I'm no expert, and I'm certainly not a professional critic by any means, but I do love and appreciate the film world. Beyond film, I'll probably write and talk about TV shows, maybe music and more than likely professional wrestling from time to time.

Honestly, I'm just trying to give you a heads up!

I don't want to wake up to any "stay in your lane" comments when I've already warned the masses about what my plans were. I don't expect everybody to agree with my thoughts that I share on this medium, but I hope to create a place to engage in healthy and respectful conversations in which we can find a way to understand each other and understand the reality that you don't have to change somebody's mind to have a positive interaction.

I'm just a guy, with a journalism degree covered in dust and a full-time gig selling alcohol that wants to find a way to continue to do what he loves on the side.

So I say once again...
