Eagles Sign Zach Ertz To Their Practice Squad Due To Dallas Goedert Injury

The Philadelphia Eagles are going back in time, signing Tight End Zach Ertz to their practice squad, and looking to elevate him to the 53 man roster for their Monday Night Football clash with the Chicago Bears.

Eagles Tight End Dallas Goedert was injured in Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans with an MCL sprain that will keep him out of action for a couple of weeks. The team is looking to makeup for the production lost from Goedert by inserting Ertz into the lineup.

Ertz was drafted by the Eagles in 2013 and remained with the franchise until 2021, where he then went to the Arizona Cardinals in a mid season trade. Ertz made three consecutive pro bowls as an Eagle (2017-2019), and helped the Eagles win Super Bowl LII over the New England Patriots.
