Search and recovery operations are ongoing for a man reported missing in the Clearwater River near Lenore, Idaho. The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office identified the missing individual as Joseph Wren of Peck, Idaho. According to authorities, Wren went missing after entering the water and failing to resurface. Dispatch centers received the emergency call at approximately 2:51 p.m. on August 8, 2026. A coordinated multi-agency response was launched immediately, involving Nez Perce County deputies, Nez Perce Tribal Police, Clearwater County deputies, and various search-and-rescue teams. The recovery efforts continued through Saturday as crews combed the area for any sign of the missing man.
