"Motor City" REVIEW

It little less talk and a lot of action. It a story of love that inevitably turns into one of revenge.

In a sense it’s ultimately a gangster style Romeo and Juliet story. When John Miller falls for a gangster’s girl, the plot of framing him gets set into place which ultimately lands him in jail. Now determined to get back with the girl he loves Miller’s escape is underway in a very bloody gangster style way as he tries to get back to his girl. Accidents happen that sends him down a long spiraling road to revenge as his love is separated from h permanently.

He uniqueness of Motor city is that there are very few words said in this fast paced, high action adventure and the characters do an awesome job of conveying the story on the screen just by their expressions and actions.

The film stars Alan Ritchson who ultimately has the most expressive body language through out as he goes from conveying love, shock and ultimately a need for revenge when all hope seems lost. Additionally Shailene Woodley as the love interest who like Ritchson has very little lines but lots of expression that goes far deeper then the skin.

Finally the cast isn’t complete without Ben foster, Pablo schreiber, and Dominic bogart all of whom provide that typical gangster persona. It’s a film that one ought to see at least once and try not to leave for anything less they get loss in the lack of dialogue and very heavily driven action on screen.

Motor city came out July 24 and is currently playing in select theatre near you.
