"The Brink of War" REVIEW

Jeff Daniels is Ronald Reagan in the epic biopic about the words exchanged between the United States and Soviet Union all in an effort to either start a war with nuclear weapons or prevent it by trying to protect everyone with a powerful shield. The film does an exceptional job of capturing the emotion or both Reagan and Soviet Leader Gorbachev (played by Jared Harris) in a very war driven mission even without the weapons present. There is certainly a reason why history calls it the "Cold War" and both Harris and Daniels do an excpeptional job of portraying the leadership on screen for all.

Additionally the film stars J.K. Simmons as Secretary of State George Schultz who essentially is a beast behind the president as he supports everything Reagan does even knowing that things are not going to turn out as he wants. Finally, the film stars Branka Katic as Grobachev's wife and Hope Davis as Nancy Reagan, both of who equally provide oscar worthy performances next to the leading men and screen.

All in All, Angel Studios The Brink of War will have audiences reveling on history on the big screen as they hopefully will want to learn more about the events so that we won't repeat our mistakes of the past. History is good to be covered, less we are distened to repeat it and that is the hope of film makers putting important power films for mainstream media.

Brink of War came out in theaters August 14 and is currently playing in one near you. See it soon before it's too late.
