San Francisco 49ers owner John "Jed" York was arrested at 9:35 am at the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community off state Route 170 for attempting to have sex with a prostitute, according to WKBN News!
York contacted who he thought was from a known prostitute advertisement website, which really turned out to be an undercover law enforcement officer, and arranged to meet up with officer for sex in exchange for $140.
York was pulled over outside of the mobile home area off of Route 170 and arrested, but people familiar with the area say it was not apart of the operation in which he was arrested, but rather the area where officers pulled him over and detained him.
York plead no contest to two misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools, downgraded from original charges of engaging with a prostitute.
The 49ers remain focused on their last preseason game and the start of the season, stating, "This a legal matter , which has been resolved and we will not be providing further comments at this time."
As they get ready for the their third and final preseason game and the start of their regular season opener against the Los Angeles Rams, the focus continues to be on the team and football, but this comes as a shock to many in the organization and to the fans as well.
