NOUN CAMPUS TO BE ESTABLISHED IN OGBOMOSO LAND

Following Abuja Meeting, Soun Inaugurates 13-Member Implementation Committee for NOUN campus in Ogbomosoland

The dream of establishing a National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Community Study Centre in Ogbomoso has received a major boost as the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, inaugurated a 13-member implementation committee to drive the project to reality.

The development follows the monarch's strategic visit to the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) headquarters in Abuja earlier in January, where he met with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, alongside the University's pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olugbemiro Jegede, and other prominent Ogbomoso stakeholders to advocate for the establishment of a dedicated NOUN Community Study Centre in Ogbomoso.

The newly inaugurated implementation committee comprises academias and illustrious sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland. Chaired by Barr Adekunle, Prof Adepoju and Host of others.

The committee has been mandated to coordinate stakeholder engagement, mobilize community support, facilitate facility development, and oversee other implementation processes required for the successful establishment and take-off of the NOUN Community Study Centre in Ogbomoso, marking another significant milestone in the Soun's drive to expand access to quality higher education across Ogbomosoland.
