Political Art Review for Theo Wujcik and I - Part II
- I never revealed to Theo how I was going to be the first modern day female artist to paint our great United States Flag on a gigantic canvas but with a major political twist.
Theo and I were happy with both of our close platonic friendship and professional working relationship, and we only argued once. We never spoke verbally about politics except in our MASTERpeace pieces we both painted as truly unique and rare individual United States politically induced artists. There was absolutely no envy or jealousy between the two of us, however, everyone in his blackcircle, and everyone in my blacktriangle were always extremely jealous of us, which prompted them to gossip and spread their own wicked and majorly ignorant uneducated lies. Theo and I were both defenders, and still continue to be the major defenders him and I remain today.
Theo was highly literate, very well versed on all subjects, and also, highly intellectual. He was a Professor at the University of South Florida, which is where I earned both my Bachelor and Masters degrees. I remember meeting Theo briefly at the old Pearl Art Store in Tampa on Hillsborough Avenue that was unfortunately shut down after I began shopping there for art supplies back in circa 2001. I cannot remember if he struck up the conversation or if I did, but he once again, entered into my life in 2009 in the middle of the dance floor underneath the famous mirror ball we both loved and cherished and danced under at the Castle in Ybor City.
I saw Theo was dancing next to me wearing a black button up dress shirt with what looked like one of those clerical collars that Catholic Priests wear, black jeans and his fancy famous dancing boots that were pure black leather. I did not remember that I had met him and spoke to him all those years ago at the Pearl Art Store until recently. But this time, she was me who struck up the conversation being that I was overtly attracted to his refreshing atomic energy and the way he energetically danced next to me that was truly aligned with my way of dancing, too. When I spoke to Theo, the first words out of my mouth were: “excuse me, is that a clerical collar that Catholic Priests wear?” He looked at me and laughed, which made me laugh in return, and he said “no” and at that very moment our platonic friendship sprouted and began to bloom into six years of pure, delightful solidness. His red jade heart instantly connected equally with my red jade heart and had created the perfect rightful light-filled creative, spontaneous union that sparkled and shined to the point we both became attached to the hips and inseparable.
Just like our famous musician David Bowie mocked fame, fame actually meant nothing to Theo and I because we simply already knew we were famous artists and rebels, and we also knew we were both (and I still am) very humble about our fame given the fact that him and I are truly just simply down to earth majorly rebellious artists. I think this is because Theo and I always knew and remembered our humble beginnings when we both entered into this black warring world. To this day, I still love speaking, writing, and thinking about our story to anyone and everyone I can because I truthfully remain his voice and love promoting our great works of art, knowledge, wisdom and our precious moments and life experiences we shared. A little unknown fact about us, Theo kept his enemies close. However, I believe, I have always kept my enemies (including some enemies I never knew I had) even closer either covertly by choice or simply not ever knowing who my enemies were, especially in Ybor City.
We loved to rebel and raise as much hell in Ybor City as possible because him and I saw the many changes in Ybor City that truly lead to Ybor City’s modern day downfall that is now so corrupt and wretched, it has been deemed unsafe for me to visit as an independent United States American Revolutionary Federalist highly creative woman since I was forced to leave Ybor City six months after he passed in 2014. Luckily, Theo kept many journals and documented everything historically. These are the many journals he wrote in which I and my name had appeared in according to his widow. Theo and I both adored one another and our bond is still strong, perhaps even stronger, post his death now that I write about him openly while keeping his life and artistic voice happily alive.
After his passing on March 29, 2014, his widow, Susan Johnson had revealed to me at his Memorial Service on the grounds of the University of South Florida Tampa campus that sometimes in his artwork Theo would use paper towels and rip them up and incorporate them into his paintings. I thought that was one of the most truly unique original techniques I had ever heard an artist do. So, in the Fall of 2014, I decided to use his rare technique on one of the first few paintings I painted in Ybor City before I left Ybor City. However, I chose to be a little different in the way I approached his technique on my canvas. I decided to cover my entire canvas with ripped up paper towels. I then texturized the canvas and during the process of painting, I ripped up the paper towels one by one and painted over them on the canvas. It was a painstakingly, long and arduous artistic process but I eventually succeeded rather quickly only because I remained focused and was intent on creating it my way while paying Theo homage to his creative idea. And, I chose to leave my redblood on the very last torn piece of paper towel, stick it right in the middle of my painting, and paint over my blood in order to finish my painting. My MASTERpeace piece had finally become completed in all of its entirety with my mark of redblood. The U.S.A.R.F Official painting of what would be known as my last blacklash that made the most blackest mark in my own homeland and permanently in Ybor City had been artistically born into the world, and this painting of mine truly left many, many, many politically black induced remarkable marks along side of blackbloodstains because of the evil hearted people who crossed my paths, that included Obama and his horrendous worldwide communist and dictatorship type followers.
Unfortunately, I never revealed to Theo how I was going to be the first modern day female artist to paint our great United States Flag on a gigantic canvas but with a major political twist. Ten years later post 2014, I painted our flag from the experiences I have witnessed happen to me first, and also, to our majorly war torn and divided country with the sole purpose of making many worldwide political points. So, I did just that being given my first opportunity to paint our flag in the summer of 2024 and finishing it with an unforeseen level of pure, unadulterated surrealistic-abstract reality that is singularly based in the reality I have superbly with all superiority have witnessed happen to our disgraced, majorly disrespected, and dishonored United States. One year and eleven months later it was complete. The painting took me 44 years to paint because I had all of those 44 years to factually accumulate all of the knowledge I had learned on a daily basis all throughout the United States in what I had seen happen in both businesses, and in public and private institutions throughout our once glorious, peaceful productive industrial built homeland.
For many years and even beginning before my birth, our enemies inside of our country and abroad had been chanting “Death to America!” So, of course, in my most rebellious safest majorly protective witty political way, I decided to title the painting with having the full intent on chaotically mocking our enemies worldwide without showing any fear or mercy towards them. The paintings titled: “Death to the United States.” The title stands as the one way I could and chose to retaliate back against our enemies hatred of me, my United States and her people whom I greatly protect and never neglect to majorly protect. Apparently my artistic and creative rebellious ways work well because my MASTERpeace piece and title frightens and intimidates our infamous enemies no matter where they try to hide in the world. War is war and art is art and peace is peace as is chaos is chaos and knowledge is knowledge peacefully politically and peaceably amicably speaking. Worldwide facts and acts are historically truthfully acts and facts that do indeed hurt many. But all of this intentional hurt and hatred of our country and her people by our enemies requires the defensive to punish the offensive for the simple sake of the United States finally achieving both justice and peace equally; especially during the period of the United States lengthiest warring wartime to date.
