Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has provided an update on the condition of members of the Oyo State security outfit, Iru Ekun, who were injured during a recent abduction incident in the state.

In a statement, Igboho expressed concern over the attack and commended the operatives for their courage in confronting the suspected kidnappers. He said the injured personnel are receiving medical treatment and wished them a speedy recovery.

The attack occurred during an operation to rescue victims of a reported abduction in Oyo State, where the operatives reportedly came under heavy gunfire from armed assailants. Several members of the security outfit sustained injuries while attempting to repel the attackers and protect residents.

Igboho urged security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend those responsible for the attack, stressing the need for stronger collaboration among federal, state, and local security outfits to address the growing threat of kidnapping and violent crime.

He also called on residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement by providing credible information that could assist in tracking down criminal elements operating within their communities.

The incident has renewed concerns over insecurity in parts of Oyo State, where cases of kidnapping and attacks on travelers and rural communities have become a major security challenge.

Authorities have assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that efforts are being intensified to rescue any remaining victims and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Community leaders and residents have continued to call for enhanced security measures to safeguard lives and property, emphasizing the need for sustained action against criminal groups operating in the region.
