The public statement issued by Chelsea concerning the Maresca saga appears hypocritical.

After winning the legal battle against City and Maresca, Chelsea released a barbed statement, explaining the cause of the abrupt end of the maresca's reign, blaming the coach for his betrayal and putting the team in disarray mid_ season.

While nothing can justifies what maresca did to chelsea, the way he left and swept the team under the rug, the truth is that Chelsea had it coming. It's karma,if it's real in football. Chelsea has, over the years, done a lot of damages to bigger and more accomplished coaches for lesser offences without showing any kind of remorse.

The circle didn't just start with the BLUECO, it's been in existence since the glory days of Roman Abramovic. While i acknowledged that the scattergun approach did brought immense success, but, it also hindered Chelsea from actually building a sustainable and continued winning project under the umbrella of a capable manager due to their perchance for hiring and firing of managers on a whim.

Blueco decided to follow the same approach but with less success than the previous regime. They have hired and fired coaches at will which shows their lack of faith in their decisions and also shows their total lack of capabilities when it comes to scouting proper managers for their 'INVESTMENT'.

Maresca was not the problem, he merely read the room, browsed through Chelsea's history with coaches and decided what's best for his managerial career and jump ship before he would be jumped by the trigger_happy owners.

But, that does not absorb him of blame and betrayal for what he did to his players that looked up to him and a club that showed faith in him when he was just a rookie manager coming from the second division.
