On Monday, while walking along the street leading to the event organizers’ office, our reporter—like many other passersby—received a promotional flyer for Small Business Weekend. This firsthand encounter showed that the campaign was already moving beyond official announcements and directly into the streets of West Chester.
True holiday magic cannot always be found on a screen.
A website can display a product, suggest a gift or complete a transaction within seconds. But it cannot welcome a customer through the door, tell the story behind a handmade item or transform holiday shopping into a memorable afternoon shared with someone special.
That human connection will be at the center of Small Business Weekend, taking place in downtown West Chester from Friday, November 27, through Sunday, November 29, 2026.
Throughout the three-day celebration, residents and visitors will be invited to explore more than 50 local shops and over 60 restaurants while supporting the independent businesses that contribute to West Chester’s identity and economic vitality.
Small Business Weekend offers shoppers an alternative to the speed and anonymity of online purchasing. Behind every storefront is a local entrepreneur, a team of employees and a business connected directly to the community it serves.
