Obi, Kwankwaso Lead NDC's Fight Against Deregistration

Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso are reportedly at the forefront of efforts by the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) to challenge moves that could lead to the coalition's deregistration.

According to sources familiar with the development, the coalition is mobilizing its members and legal team to resist any action that may affect its political activities or participation in Nigeria's democratic process.

Leaders of the coalition argue that any attempt to deregister the group would undermine political pluralism and restrict citizens' constitutional right to freely associate and participate in the country's democratic system.

Obi and Kwankwaso are said to be engaging with other opposition figures and stakeholders to strengthen the coalition's position while exploring legal and political options to safeguard its status.
