A few years back, I went on an afternoon date to Veronét Vineyards & Winery. While the situationship itself eventually vanished like a good glass of wine—thoroughly enjoyed while it lasted, but gone now!—my absolute love for this winery has endured. Honestly, the destination was the best part of the setup, and it remains one of the most picturesque spots in the region.

Veronét sits on a stunning property featuring panoramic views of Crowders Mountain and the Pinnacle. The setup is highly relaxed:

  • The Lawn: Unshaded, rolling green grass where guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and picnic blankets to spread out.
  • The Sips: Curated, customizable wine flights featuring everything from crisp dry whites to small-batch seasonal sweet wines.
  • The Eats: Local food trucks rotate through the property every Saturday and Sunday to pair with your tastings.

Planning Your Visit Because the seating is predominantly open-air and at the mercy of Carolina weather, autumn is the absolute peak season to experience the property.

Hours: Open Friday through Sunday, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Last pour is strictly at 5:30 PM). They are closed Monday through Thursday.

Pro Tip: Keep an eye on the Veronét Events Calendar to book one of their ticketed, 1.5-hour private vineyard tours and tastings, or to check for weather-related early closures before you make the drive.

Veronét Vineyards & Winery operates on a set weekend schedule year-round, making it perfect for a daytime getaway.
