CREATE That Old School House Experience

This community and hundreds of others in Colorado can still get a glimpse of that old Schoolhouse experience. This summer there will be classes and leauges for all. And from now on there will be events for all seasons. Starting with Family fun at Hermit Park on Saturday, June 6, the Old Westcliff School House will have an open house in conjunction with Custer County Kids. Sign up for classes, leagues and concerts and become part of the TAG Team of Thinking and Action Group that faces the challenges through Entrepreneurship.

Meet the President and Director of Valley Parks and Recreation, Richard Arnold Beattie for music, discussion and a schedule of events planned for this year. Valley Park and Recreation is now in a network of Colorado Parks and Recreation and will be partnering in events at home and all over the state.

In the coming weeks and as a fundraiser for Valley Parks and Recreation, the community will get together to digitize photos, sound, letters and historic documents from the old Westcliffe School House. The coffee pot is always on when there are people coming. And a series of acoustic concerts is planned.
