Santiago Pereyra Sees Interest in Punta del Este's Winter Tourism Appeal

Punta del Este is known for its summer tourist season, but tourism this winter looks good. Real estate agent Santiago Pereyra sees action in the local market, with visitors arriving to the resort area.

Pereyra explained many homeowners arrive during the winter to check up on their properties, enjoy time with family, and do maintenance for the next summer season.

"I think the July holiday activity started last Friday. We're seeing an increase in the number of people around. We're quite surprised, to be honest," Pereyra noted, continuing, “Many people come to check on their houses or apartments, to relax for a few days, and also to make arrangements for summer.”

Looking ahead, Pereyra was optimistic about the winter holidays and his hope for good weather going forward.
