With Major Leauge Baseball breaking camp and starting a new season it is time for the annual rant about rooting for the home team. In Colorado, after a disappointing Ski Season and Nordic season, I almost plunked down more money to watch the Colorado Rockies in their splendid Coors Field. Then reality struck. A sports gambling commercial came on, and I put the cap, and the shirt, back in Mothballs with the Broncos, Avalanche and Nuggets and I went out for a walk.

Sports gambling and gaming target more teens then Joe Camel did while touting Cancer Sticks. Addiction and debt not from College, but from betting on college, pro and Olympic Sport is killing sport, past time and recreation. And it is not just teens, it is an All generation problem. The New York Mets are building a Casino in Flushing, where fans can flush money and bit coin down the drain of a one arm urinal!

I am rooting and investing in the home team. I bought new Sketchers, Fling Sticks, and golf balls and I am investing in FlingFitness, nutrition, and FlingGolf, Wiffle Ball, Camping, Hiking, and Yoga! My wife and I get fit at home watching and excercising to Lucy Wyndham Read videos and we are ready for opening day at Walsenburg, Salida and Holydot golf courses. And the return in investment is mind and heart. I lost 50 pounds and 5 inches on my waist. Probably by not drinking beer after beer and eating hot dogs at Coors Field!
