West Palm Beach Woman, 31, Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle on Benoist Farms Road
WEST PALM BEACH — A 31-year-old West Palm Beach woman died Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Benoist Farms Road, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. when a southbound Hyundai traveling on Benoist Farms Road, just south of Golden River Drive, struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street. The driver was unable to avoid the collision.

Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. According to a criminal probable cause affidavit, deputies identified the victim as Jasmine Blanchard, 31, of West Palm Beach. Investigators determined Blanchard was walking within the southbound lane of travel when the vehicle struck her.
Following the collision, the vehicle continued forward before slowing to a stop, according to the affidavit.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident. No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
