Cancun's Hotel Zone has a new addition: Riu Ventura has officially opened its doors next to the iconic Playa Delfines, becoming RIU Hotels & Resorts' sixth property in the destination.

The 705-room all-inclusive resort introduces several firsts for RIU in Mexico, including an exclusive adults-only area on the sixth floor complete with its own pool and Sky Bar, plus 36 ground-floor suites with private swim-up pools—a first for the brand in the country.

Guests will find no shortage of dining options, with seven restaurants spanning global cuisines: Kaori (Asian), Agave (Mexican), Rimini (Italian), Kulinarium (fusion), Pepe's Food (grilled specialties), Sports Bar (American favorites), and Tiki Tako (tacos). Six bars are scattered throughout the property.

Families will appreciate the four outdoor pools—including one with a children's splash area—along with the RIU Land kids' club. Adults can unwind at the Renova Spa or join the resort's signature RIU Party events, which rotate through four weekly themes: White Party, Jungle Party, Pink Party, and Neon Party.

Riu Ventura represents RIU's 15th resort in Quintana Roo and 23rd across Mexico. The brand isn't slowing down either—2026 will bring renovations to Hotel Riu Palace Peninsula in Cancun and Hotel Riu Palace México in Playa del Carmen, plus construction of the new Hotel Riu Palace Quintana Roo in Costa Mujeres.
