The Uprising REVIEW

It's the ultimate story of the "little guy" ulitmately taking on a tyrant king in the latest Uprising. Set in a nidieval setting, the film contains alot of exposition that may be a bit lengthy as audiences attempt to get into the story. In a Robin Hood style tale, Andrew Garfield does a fair job of carrying the vast majority of the story as it shows a man standing up for what he believes and going after King Richard for justice.

Additionally the film also stars Woody Norman as King Richard as well as Tom Hollander, Thomasin McKenzie, Simon Kunz and Stanley Townsend, all who did a fair job of trying to entertain audiences with a very lauguage heavy script.

That being said, though the film did caitain a very heavy storyline that one might wonder was enough done to fully round out the film. Good acting but the lengthy dialogue leaves one wondering what exactly is happening and even the ending seems like its not enough to be completely satisfied.

All in all, Focus Features The Uprisng came out in theaters Septmeber 9 and is currently playing in one near you. See tt if you dare and experience the story with a historical background.
