Mac's Club Deuce: The 98-Year-Old South Beach Institution That Time Forgot
When the late Anthony Bourdain visited Miami Beach—whether filming his show, attending an event, or simply unwinding on vacation—he made a beeline for one place: Mac's Club Deuce on 14th Street.
Established in 1926, the Deuce holds the distinction of being Miami's oldest bar. But it became a true South Beach institution in 1964 when Mac Klein took ownership, running it until his passing at age 102.

What makes this place special? Step inside and you'll find a laid-back ambiance, rustic decor, a well-worn pool table, and a jukebox that's seen better days—but that's exactly the point. And then there's the legendary daily happy hour: 2-for-1 drinks from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Deuce's resume speaks for itself. The Miami Vice cast threw their wrap party here. Playboy named it one of America's best dive bars in 2010. Bourdain called it one of his favorite spots in the world.
Mac Klein himself was a living piece of American history. Born September 19, 1914—before Miami Beach even existed—he served under General Patton during World War II before becoming the beloved patriarch of South Beach's most authentic watering hole.

As the Miami New Times eloquently wrote in 2015: "In a city that changes like an indecisive chameleon, an island always for sale to the highest bidder, Mac's joint has remained a pristine, neon-lit paradise untouched by outside forces."
Mac's Club Deuce is located at 222 14th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139.
