I was looking at a website with classic cars and thinking about our love affair with the combustible engine. It got me thinking about technology has come so far, and questioning why it has not gone far enough? On a recent vacation, my wife and I rented a car that was a Hybrid Toyota Camry. It was wonderful. The gas engine regenerates energy and at slower speeds converts it to electric energy, giving us about 45 miles to the gallon. Since I prepaid the gas I passed a lot of Arco Gas Stations.

When we returned to our little town in the Big Valley, I started researching 4 wheel drive, Hybrids. Prices astronomical, even used. And then a story from New York, ironically Wall Street, that a Hybrid car blew up in an electric fire. Now I began to think about my first car

a Ford Pinto. And I began to start looking at pictures of cattle drives from Pueblo to Westcliffe over Hardscrabble.

If the essence of Creating is Recreation, we need to work harder in promoting rural transportation as a viable option for community, recreation, education, arts, travel, and start talking about responsible entrepreneurial action. Exploring alternate energy sources and ride shares, at home, through getting to work, and the communities we serve. That's why we are creating TAG Teams. Thinking, Acting Groups around Colorado.
