A 17-year-old Falfurrias resident, Eden Dylan Munoz, died in a single-vehicle rollover crash on County Road 103 on May 10, 2026. The incident occurred when his pickup truck left the roadway and rolled multiple times after a corrective maneuver, resulting in him being ejected.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) provided additional specifics regarding the timeline and mechanics of the crash: While initial summaries noted the time as 7:20 a.m., DPS crash investigators clarified that the accident occurred closer to 7:50 a.m. as Munoz traveled eastbound along County Road 103.

The tragedy unfolded just east of FM 754. Munoz’s 2008 Chevrolet Silverado drifted off the right side of the pavement. In a split-second reaction, the teenager tried to steer sharply back toward the lane. This overcorrection caused the heavy pickup truck to lose traction entirely, entering a violent side skid and spinning across the asphalt before flipping over multiple times. Because of the sheer force of the rolling truck, Munoz was thrown completely from the vehicle. Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Judge Roland Garza arrived shortly after to formally pronounce the teenager deceased at the scene.
