Hardrock Hotel & Casino Planned for San Juan Puerto Rico

Hard Rock International along with partners Misla Hospitality, Stonecrest Investment Management, and The Interfin Companies plan to develop the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino San Juan. The $850 million new-build project is scheduled to open in 2029, with construction beginning mid-2026. The development will mark Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's first Puerto Rico destination and residence project, designed to honor the rich soul and rhythm of San Juan while establishing a bold new vision for the future. Architectural firms Klai Juba Wald and CMA Architects will draw inspiration from the island's cultural and musical heritage, integrating work from local community artists throughout the space. The San Juan resort will join the company's prestigious global hotels portfolio, delivering world-class entertainment and distinctive amenities to modern travelers seeking an alternative to traditional hospitality experiences.
Featuring views of both San Juan Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino San Juan will include approximately 415 rooms, 58 suites, and 186 Branded Residences. The property will celebrate the island's music culture through event venues, a recording studio, and displays of local memorabilia. It will become Puerto Rico's first integrated casino, offering a complete travel-entertainment experience.
The resort will offer diverse dining experiences ranging from casual poolside fare to upscale cuisine, complemented by multiple bars throughout the property. Beyond exploring the historical landmarks and vibrant streets of San Juan, guests can relax at the signature Rock Spa®, fitness center, and three terrace-level pools. Family-friendly amenities will include a kids' club, kids' arcade, and dedicated teen hangout spaces.
The property will be easily accessible from nearby Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport and is adjacent to Old San Juan, a historic city that captivates visitors with its Spanish colonial architecture, colorful streets, museums, galleries, and fortresses overlooking the sea.
