A Man Can Dream, Can't He?
- Between the Lines.
A Man Can Dream, can't he?
Juggling the victories and the failures, you almost forget why you started.
But that's what I get for thinking.
Thinking ahead, I mean.
Not staying in the present.
Forgetting that the race takes a little while before you finally land where you're supposed to.
We almost forget the turtle won that race.
Why do we forget?
They all told me that life's a game of chess, yeah, I guess.
I guess my generation has too much on its mind.
We forget to blink.
Society treats us like we can't handle the keys.
Like we can't steer the ship.
After too many conversations with my peers, I can't help but feel that if we were given the chance, a lot of things would change.
Maybe that's all it is.
A chance.
I guess we’ll see a couple years down the line.
When 50 said, Get Rich or die tryin’, something about that resonated deep in my soul.
I can't shake it.
Holding on for Dear life, knowing that when my time comes,
I'm going to take it.
Then I remember—
I woke up this morning.
Nothing different.
Just staring at the blank wall.
And then all these dreams start flowing through.
These visions.
These ideas.
A regular morning.
Then those words come flowing.
I can do it.
Damn,
I love those words.
It's too early in the process to judge myself.
But I always do.
I can do it.
Dreams are meant to be created.
I can do it.
Hustle is what I am made of.
I can do it.
My faith does not deviate.
My ideas don't have a date.
But I'm growing stronger with every breath.
So I'll keep living my life in seasons.
Different chapters.
Different stories.
Different Versions of Me.
Because anything that happens is for a reason.
And maybe that blank wall isn't so blank after all.
Maybe I'm just looking at the place where the dream hasn't been built yet.
