Shore Club Miami Beach Hotel Renovation Progresses Toward Highly Anticipated Reopening

MIAMI BEACH, FL — One of South Beach's most iconic properties is undergoing a dramatic transformation. The Shore Club, the legendary oceanfront hotel at 1901 Collins Avenue, is in the midst of an extensive renovation that promises to restore and reimagine its storied legacy for a new generation of guests.

The project is being led by Witkoff Group, the New York-based real estate development firm that acquired the property, in partnership with Monroe Capital. The development team tapped globally renowned hospitality brand Auberge Resorts Collection to manage the reimagined property, which will be rebranded as Shore Club Private Beach Hotel — joining Auberge's portfolio of luxury boutique destinations.

Design duties for the renovation have been entrusted to award-winning architect Peter Marino, known for his bold, art-forward aesthetic and his work on high-profile luxury projects worldwide. Marino's vision for the Shore Club is said to blend the building's historic Art Deco bones with a contemporary, residential-style luxury experience.

The renovation encompasses the hotel's guest rooms, suites, food and beverage outlets, pool areas, and its famed beachfront amenities. The property originally opened in 1949 and was designed by Albert Anis, and the current project is being carried out with sensitivity to its historic character.

As of 2025, the Shore Club is projected to open its doors to guests later this year, though an official opening date has not yet been publicly confirmed by the development team. Local hospitality industry observers are watching the project closely, as the Shore Club's return is expected to significantly bolster Miami Beach's luxury travel market.

The renovation is part of a broader wave of reinvestment in South Beach's historic hotel corridor, as developers and hospitality brands continue to bet on Miami Beach as a premier global destination.
