More than Just Clothing: David Angus ‘26 Expands Wander Without Limit

Last school year, David Angus ‘26 launched his clothing brand, now known as Wander Without Limit (WWL). While Angus had a general interest in fashion beforehand, he was always drawn more to sneakers. His interest in fashion truly sparked during a trip to London in December of 2024. The city's unique style and creative atmosphere pushed him to view fashion as a more serious form of self expression. Through carefully crafted pieces and patience, Angus has turned a small passion into something more than just a clothing brand— a platform for self-expression, artistic creativity and community.
Angus returned home from London all amped up and ready to create. What started as looking through Pinterest and listening to music led to conceptualizing. Soon after conceptualization, he began to draft and draw designs on paper. Eventually, refining such designs, getting in touch with a manufacturer to create samples and in the end, the final product.
WWL’s first release in January of 2025 was called the Sampaguita set. The drop featured both sweatpants and a sweatshirt inspired by the national flower of the Philippines, hinting at the name. The design was minimalistic and incorporated the national flower with a black base. This trial release dipped David’s toes into the experience of running a brand through the process of designing, creating and fulfilling orders.
“The pants were high quality, great comfort and warm. It makes me want to buy other products in the future," said Sam Badrak ‘26, a customer of the Sampaguita hoodie.
Building off the success of the first drop and a recent rebranding to Wander Without Limit, Angus released both blue and pink mohair sweaters. The sweaters were inspired by a mom and daughter David saw getting cotton candy in London.
“David just had so much respect for the industry of design and fashion, and he actually cares about using his inspiration to create something unique and something that people will appreciate,” said Ryan Scott ‘26, a customer of the mohair sweater. “It's not just like he's putting out some trashy project or some project that he spent little time on just to make a little bit of money; he's real and genuine.”
In addition to widely promoting his brand and gaining exposure through Instagram, Angus has accumulated nearly 1,000 followers using the platform to post regularly, engage with followers, promote releases and connect with other creators.
“Social media is quite possibly one of the biggest tools I need to use,” Angus said. “It’s the bridge between the producer and the consumer. To capture someone's interest in someone's brand, you really need to connect them on a deeper level.”
With social media comes the need for strong visual representations and photographs. Photography and videography are a huge part of WWL’s online image.
“At the end of the day, words can only tell you so much, especially when you're working with a clothing brand. You actually see the product on your phone, your feed. It’s important to actually get that visual representation that can only be done through photography," said Everett Eckart ‘26, a photographer who has shot with WWL.
As Wander Without Limit continues to grow and expand, Angus focuses on telling an authentic story and bringing a personal connection to every release. To him, Wander Without Limit is more than just clothes.
“So in the next two years, I really see it becoming more of a tightly knit community rather than a clothing brand,” Angus said.
WWL’s upcoming release on March 6 will feature cadence wide-leg trousers inspired by the 1960s and 1970s with a modern twist. The design process drew inspiration from vintage magazines and older jazz music. The trousers, made from a 470GSM polyrayon blend, reflect a new direction from previous releases as Angus continues to improve his brand.
“In terms of comparing it to past releases, I was just trying to get my name out there, trying to get as much, you know, attention— eye catching garment— even though it did have some meaning. I really wanted to pivot from that into more neutral colors and focusing on the lifestyle rather than the garment,” Angus said.
Angus looks up to the creative director of Louis Vuitton, artist and brand owner himself Pharrell Williams. He admires Williams’ versatility and creative flow in both managing his brands and music. He has shaped the way Angus goes about creating and designing.
“Good enough is never in your vocabulary,” Angus said.
Looking ahead, the future of Wander Without Limit remains dedicated to vintage designs and forming a tight-knit community of individuals connected by similar interests in music, creative expression and vision. The cadence wide leg trousers are set to release at 3 p.m. on March 6 and are only available at Wanderwithoutlimit.us.
