Trick Williams Wins During Homecoming

Former University of South Carolina Gamecocks football star Trick Williams returned home Friday night for SmackDown in Columbia, SC, bringing Cocky and Lil Yachty with him for the ride. Trick Williams is the current United States Champion, winning it at WrestleMania 42 over Sami Zayn.

Trick has become one of the top stars, not just on SmackDown, but in all of WWE, bringing with him a swag and bravado that has endeared him to fans in the five years he has wrestled. Trick has gone from being a sidekick in the Trick-Melo Gang, to becoming a multi time champion across both WWE and TNA.

Friday night’s homecoming didn’t come without fireworks of course, as The Miz and his partner, Kit Wilson, tried to spoil the night for Trick in front of his friends and family. After a competitive back and forth battle between the Trick and the Miz, which saw Trick kick out of Miz’s finisher the Skull-Crushing Finale, and a couple kendo stick shots from Yachty to Wilson, Trick put Miz away with a Trick Shot.

Next Friday, May 22, 2026, Trick Williams and the rest of SmackDown head to Lexington, KY.
