[Fictional Demo] The Pecos Runs Through It

It's easy to forget, until you stand on a bridge and look down, just how much of this town was built around the river.

The Pecos comes up out of the desert, runs green and cottonwood-lined right through the middle of Carlsbad, and keeps going south toward the farms. Generations of us learned to swim in it, fished it, courted along it, and complained about it when it flooded.
