A beloved Miami Beach seafood spot has served its final dish in Sunset Harbour.

Stiltsville Fish Bar closed its doors at 1787 Purdy Ave. on Dec. 21 after operators and the property's landlord failed to reach a lease renewal agreement, ending a seven-year run in the neighborhood.

"After a successful run and extensive negotiations with our landlord, we were unable to come to an agreement and will not be renewing the lease at this location," Grove Bay Hospitality Group partners Francesco Balli and Ignacio Garcia-Menocal said in a statement.

The restaurant opened in 2017 as a collaboration between Grove Bay and chefs Janine Booth and Jeff McInnis, quickly becoming a neighborhood favorite. Drawing inspiration from Miami-Dade County's historic stilt house community perched at the edge of Biscayne Bay, the 4,000-square-foot eatery featured Florida-focused seafood, coastal décor, and seating for approximately 115 guests.

The property is owned by AP Sunset Harbour, LP, a Charlotte, North Carolina–based entity affiliated with Asana Partners, a national retail real estate investor. An Asana spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

Grove Bay called Stiltsville Fish Bar a "special chapter" for the company and expressed gratitude to employees, guests, and the Sunset Harbour community for their years of support. The hospitality group said it remains optimistic and plans to announce upcoming projects soon.

No word yet on what will replace the restaurant in the popular Sunset Harbour retail corridor.
