Leslie’s Pool Supplies closes Los Banos location amid nationwide bankruptcy restructuring

Los Banos, CA (October 13, 2026) — Leslie’s Pool Supplies has closed its Los Banos location at 2160 E. Pacheco Blvd. as the national pool and spa retailer undergoes a bankruptcy restructuring that includes 76 store closures across the United States.

The company’s website confirms the local closure. Its former Los Banos store page now redirects customers to a notice stating that the location is closed and directing them to other Leslie’s stores.

The Los Banos store is among 26 California locations included in the nationwide closures, which also affect stores in Fresno, Selma and Tulare.

Leslie’s filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on September 30, 2026, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company closed approximately 76 underperforming or unprofitable stores on September 29 as part of a plan to reduce operating costs and improve its financial position.

The Phoenix-based retailer announced a restructuring agreement supported by more than 80% of its existing lenders. The agreement is intended to eliminate approximately $685 million in debt, representing roughly 90% of its outstanding funded debt.

The restructuring also includes plans to secure $150 million in new capital to support the company’s financial recovery.

Despite the bankruptcy filing, Leslie’s is not shutting down its entire business.

The company said its remaining retail locations and online operations will continue serving customers throughout the restructuring process.

Leslie’s also confirmed that gift cards and loyalty program benefits will continue to be honored.

Chief Executive Officer Jason McDonell said the restructuring would allow the company to reinvest in its operations and improve its financial stability.

The company expects to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in early 2027.
