CORE Performing Recording Arts and Broadcasting
Pete Seeger famously described Folk Music as "Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue." In the big scope of royalties, streaming, podcasting, and broadcasting, going that route in presenting music is the only way to share music. Traditional songs in the Public Domain, and Original Music are the ingredients for creative success are the best ways for a performing musician in the performing and recording of music and literature, and that is a good thing.
Music- Literature -Art Something New
Somewhere between an audiobook and a concept album is a genre that is organic to the core. Authors and songwriters, as authors and songwriters, are combining to present a quintessential experience to the audience. In the upcoming release of the audiobook with music, lyrics, album art, and the book release of "Walking the Same Ground," we have mashed genres with a CORE presentation of Agrarian Literature, Original Music and Art, Recordings, Broadcasts, and Live Presentations at Art Centers, Libraries, Coffeehouses, Galleries, Historic Sites, and Theater.
Historic -Cooking-Traditional Music
Story and songs, cooking, recipes, visual arts, maps, timelines, textiles, and hands-on participation make history come alive. It is the essence of performing arts. Telling, showing, singing, mind, heart, and kinetic involvement that ignites the creative spirit and soul within humans. I work with authors, artists, recording artists and actors; each one brings a special grace to a project. The smells and tastes of a slow cooker, baked bread, apples or the feel of a cafe, a gallery, a theater, a farm.

Life Librettos
Celtic Mountain Strings in Westcliffe is a band that I am the lead singer and play guitar. We perform traditional Robert Burns songs and other traditional pieces, Irish Reels and Celtic pieces. In January we celebrate as a band with friends and family for a Burn's supper. (SANS Haggis) The men wear Kilts and the women Scottish garb. I address the Haggis as Burn's did, we eat, drink and play music. It is a quintessential experience in High Fidelity, tastes, smells, sound, visuals and fabric. Next week, I am in Oakdale, New York to celebrate my 50th High School Reunion, and my 68th Birthday. We are getting family and friends to Vanderbilt's Wharf. My friend historian and author Chris Kretz is working with a singer-songwriter on songs on the East- End of Long Island. I am working on stories and songs about the South Shore and the stories told in the book Chris co-wrote on Oakdale, NY. My good fruit orchards contain the stories and songs that are in a Life Libretto that is Perrenial long after we are gone. This work is my Soul Work.

Soul Work- Music and Words
The music and words to my soul work is another project. I recorded the narration and began to write music. On Labor Day in 1972, the legendary musical theater composer Richard Rodgers asked me what I was going to do after my child actor career was over at 14! I had just picked up the guitar, and started to write songs. I had a new voice or a new instrument that I had to figure out how to use. I replied to the greatest songwriter of all times, "I always wanted to write songs." Richard Rodgers smiled at me and said, 'Richard be the best you can, because the world needs great songs."
