CREATE Daily — A Newsroom for All Generations
In the early part of this century, a critical book was written about the state of journalism called "Bias" by Bernard Goldberg. Goldberg wrote about his thirty-year career at CBS and how "media distorts the news." He also outlined remedies and how journalists could overcome bias. In the 25 years since that book was published, journalism has gone through significant growing pains — and perhaps some major pruning.
Newspapers — local, national, and hybrid — have given way to citizen journalism and social media. Broadcast journalism is more polarized than ever, and networks, pay-to-play models, and poor decisions around antiquated technology and politics have made talk radio all but redundant. I worked for a major radio network in a newsroom that famously — or infamously — cut 500 correspondents and anchors across the United States. Poor creative in advertising and vanity radio programming have driven the AM dial to the role of afterthought.

I am here today to bring some good news. (A journalist with good news?)

"Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!"

I launched the CREATE Daily at the start of 2026 and have built a steady readership. As a lifelong media professional and entrepreneur, I have always integrated journalism, creative advertising, and music as my core communications skills. Media publishing and communications — along with community organizations of responsible entrepreneurship — are key to responding to a world of climate change, wildfires, and economic and ecological challenges that demand educational solutions. As a media journalist, narrator, emcee, anchor, and media entrepreneur, I have caught the vision of the future: media journalism, advertising and sponsorship, and recording arts measured by the tangible yardstick of reads, listens, and views.
Media Leaders — From Analog to Digital

What Ryan Dobbs has built allows me to train and develop a team of media CORE Respondents in the communities we serve. As an award-winning creative director, writer, producer, and syndication specialist, we are not at the mercy of YouTube advertising algorithms.
CREATE Daily is about Community, Recreation, Education, Arts, Travel and Transportation, and Entrepreneurship — think of it as the best Sunday edition of The New York Times, every day. We are supported by the Colorado Chapter of the Leadon Family Foundation, in which I serve as Rocky Mountain Regional Director. Together, we are helping launch next-generation entrepreneurs to meet the needs of their communities across recreation, education, arts, travel, and transportation.
When you write, speak, perform, and communicate, we ask one thing: create and produce daily — Monday through Saturday, with a refresh on Sunday. And we are appropriate for all ages.
We are actively recruiting CORE Respondents across the Rocky Mountain Region — Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Nebraska. If you are a writer, speaker, performer, or communicator who wants to make a difference in your community, we want to hear from you.
To get started, email richardbeattie809@gmail.com with where you are from, what you do, and what you would like training in. We are setting up workshops throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.
