Lincoln Road Improvement Project Underway
Construction has begun on the Lincoln Road improvement project in Miami Beach, marking the start of a comprehensive revitalization effort for one of the area's most iconic pedestrian destinations.
The project will transform the Lincoln Road pedestrian mall from Washington Avenue to Lenox Avenue with a series of major upgrades. Planned improvements include new energy-efficient lighting, refurbished pedestrian surfaces, restored follies and water features, modern street furnishings, and advanced tree fertilization systems to promote healthier urban greenery. Additional work will involve milling and resurfacing pavement surfaces and enhancing crosswalks for improved safety.

According to project officials, the renovation is expected to take approximately 18 months to complete, with work scheduled to finish in late 2026. The construction will be phased to minimize disruption to local businesses and visitors, with different sections of the mall undergoing improvements at staggered intervals.
During construction, pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the corridor, though some temporary detours and pathway adjustments may be necessary. Local merchants and the community have been briefed on the timeline and can expect periodic updates as the project progresses through its various phases.
